Houston County Cultural Center

In collaboration with the Houston County Board of Education, the Houston County Cultural Center will be a large auditorium-style venue located on Cohen Walker Drive near the Aquatic Center.

With more than 3,000 seats, the Cultural Center will be used by those in the Houston County school system as well as local, regional, and national artists, from touring singer-songwriters to performance artists.

Funding for the Houston County Cultural Center will combine $20 million collected from SPLOST and $17 million collected from the Board of Education’s E-SPLOST (Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) program.

We expect the Houston County Cultural Center to have all committed SPLOST funds available by Q4 of 2029.
